Deadlines set for submitting applications over the Internet for money from Eurofunds for reconstructing schools (initial problems with ensuring that all interested parties were informed of the funding possibilities, the functionality of the electronic application system, and the extremely brief time window in which applications could be filed). The introduction of a new non-taxable amount in the basic tax-exempt sum of Sk3,500 to Sk10,000 annually to cover the expenses of some health care workers in securing specialized education (amendment of the Income Tax Act). RATING[-300;300]:-28.0


Proposal for the re-introduction of charges for the re-zoning of agricultural land for construction and other non-agricultural uses (from Sk20/m_ to Sk500 /m_ according to the value of the land; the proposal was based on a draft amendment to the Law on the Protection and Use of Agricultural Land).

Amendment to the Law on Employment Services (labor offices will determine how often unemployed people have to check in; the change introduces the possibility to set up state-subsidized 'social' companies; work-for-welfare programs will be cut; new active labor policy spending will be introduced, while some old subsidies will be increased). In the event that people saving in the 'second pillar' (personal capitalized accounts) of the pension system want to leave that pillar, their signatures on the required documents will no longer have to be confirmed by a public notary (amendment to the Law on Pension Savings).
